comanche12
since i replaced the alternator with 100amp engine finally running but keep dying on idle speed. so i have keep feed it gas to keep alive so i checked all vacuum and used alldatadiy.com vacuum hose diagram to see if there any issues... then i noticed that pcv tube was all loose like it won't sit well just movable easily and little cracked but not leaking any oil just on bottom near the valve. so should i replace it anyway? and that bracket thing aka connector of all/most vacuum line seem very dirty - cover debris, mud, duct taped, dual clamped, etc. so i remove it and clean it up and remove duct tapes. and remove two clamps and its come off very easy. then afterward that tube where duct tape was cover is cracked so i think maybe i should replace that bracket connector? so is that possible why engine won't running well on idle and had to keep feeding on gas? here's my pics to help my terrible grammar more clear that bracket connector I'm talking about pcv duct taped with 2 clamps edit: maybe its possible why my engine running lousy because of faulty tps/or IAC? JACKED88
Vacuum leaks will make it run rough and or not idle right. Without more info I can't guarantee thats your problem but all of your vac leaks should be repaired. So yes. Replace whatever pcs are necessary to repair the leaks.
