Akula69 Posted August 8, 2010 Share Posted August 8, 2010 The instructions that came with my IAC said I had to drive the vehicle for several minutes at above 40MPH for the ECM to reset the IAC inputs. gl1200aman Posted August 9, 2010 Share Posted August 9, 2010 Yeah, when I had that problem and replaced mine it said to disconnect the battery. Then drive it at 40 for like 20 minutes to let the ecm set it correctly. I went on the highway for a longer time frame and it worked. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'd look for vacuum leaks, especailly at the manifold gasket, and check throttle and linkages to make sure its not binding, or being mechanically held a little open.
