Craft86MJ
I am looking for a front clip from an XJ to do a swap and I was wondering what a good price to pay for it would be. I searched salvage yards in my area and it seems for the clip its around $525 to $1250. Thanks
sinkrun
Thats the prices I see around here also. You would be better off buying a complete xj take what you need and part the rest. Craigs list is a good place.
Pete M
"front clip" or "front end assembly" in junkyard terms tends to mean the entire front of the car, sawed off by the firewall and used to repair front end collisions. depending on how far you're taking this conversion, all you need is the grille/headlight bezel and the parts in it (wire harness too if you can). After that, maybe front fenders if you don't like the slight difference between the new and old bezel where it meets the fender in the corner. jimoshel
I price a front clip, hood, both fenders, inner and outer, grill, bezel and front bumper $150 you pull, $200 I pull. That's for '84-'89 XJ.
Craft86MJ
I do believe that is the clip I'm currently running... not for sure, but looks the same.
Pete M
I paid all of $40 for my front grille/headlight/etc assembly. no fenders or bumper. I prefer the stock stuff.
