Over 40,000 acres burnt and still growing.

It's not to bad now but the horses were going crazy earlier from the smoke and ashes.

Yeah and I was going to take the pass this year , doesn't look like they'll open it up anytime soon either ... :shake:

Wow, hope the wind keeps the ash/smoke at bay. Nothing worse than being stuck in a draw or lower area that has filled with smoke.

 

This has been such a wet spring that the two dry weekends we had, everybody burned their pastures. I would guess that 85% of the pasture land was up in flames at one time, with no wind. It was terribly hard to breath and see. Was weird to spend a day buring our pasture, then leave and never feel like the fire was gone.

 

Jim, better hose down the MJs!
