Lenard Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Season opened up here this last Monday, 4-19, and today was the first day I was able to go. Got up at 5am, left the house at 6am, was back with my bird at 7am. Walked out there, heard him gobble, set 2 decoys about 100yds away, stood by a tree, watched him fly out of the roost, walked right up to me, shot him, grabbed the decoys, and walked back home. Sounded real easy right? But it was pouring down rain and still is so kinda made for a crappy hunt, but i still got one. It was just a little Jake, but it makes for some real good eating :D Sorry no pictures, as i said it was pouring down rain, didn't want to get the camera wet. Any other turkey hunters here???
