jimoshel
Has anybody used or have any experience with any of the Miracle Head Gasket repair, sealer on the market? I have a 99 Blazer with leaking head gasket and altho I know modern technology is accomplishing wonders I have a problem with believing I can pour something in the radiator and fix a gasket. Any comments? especially from a user.
Eagle
I have not tried it ... but it sounds like a great way to ruin a radiator.
Automan2164
No uses of that stuff for me Jim, but I would think that its more or less a snake oil kind of deal. If its meant to plug holes and leaks, who knows what else it could gunk up inside the engine. Cheap fix to get by, maybe. But if you plan on keeping it long term, who knows what kind of problems could arise. Just my opinion. Rob L. ;)
Geonovast
I wouldn't even try with a head gasket. Even if it worked, it wouldn't be for long, and I can see it causing problems. I would only even consider something like that if the vehicle had to get me home from a ways away, and then I would fix it correctly when I got home. You'll be better off changing the head gasket(s)
Red 1989 MJ
On my 4.0l 1989, I got oil in cooling fluid. I have gone to NAPA store, they advised me to buy a can of IRONITE to seal the cooling system. Having nothing to loose, I just did, seem to work great. :clapping:
