Backroads Posted March 12, 2010 Share Posted March 12, 2010 I vote for the CROK brace setup, even if you decide to go with an aftermarket bumper, it still works as a tie in point to your frame. The cross brace is good, but doesnt really help the fact that the box is bolted to thin metal, which is the area most prone to failure when put under stress. CWLONGSHOT Posted March 13, 2010 Share Posted March 13, 2010 I made my own steering neck brace!! A 2" plumbing clamp with a couple bolts, some 1" poop pipe. Then a 4-5" scrap of 1.5" angle steel and stick it all together! Woks well! My winch mount is a DETOURS with long sides for strength and frame horn reinforcement!!
