jimoshel Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 What does this gain? Or, how does it work? The idea is to decrease the rear U joint angle but it seems to me it would also increase the front Joint angle. Does the rear axle remain the same or is it shimmed up a couple degrees? Or wouldn't shimming the nose of the RA up a few degrees accomplish the same thing?
Geonovast Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 T-case drops are pretty much useless on MJs. Wheelbase is plenty long enough to even accommodate ridiculous lifts like 8 or 9 inches. As you said, yes... makes the rear angle better, but makes the front one worse. They might be a good idea in an XJ if it's stupidtall, but worthless in an MJ.
89eliminator Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 i wouldnt say worthless. i dropped my t-case 1" for a while. it helped with vibrations, but like you said, made the angles suck worse up front.
