XJ seat brackets

Will the bolts line up for an XJ's seat bracket in an MJ? My mj's bracket is rusted all out, was thinking of just using some scrap metal to fill the gaps, and lengthen the bolts of necessary.

doubtful. the XJ's floor is much flatter. :dunno: but I guess anything is possible with enough fabbing.

 

Keep in mind that the MJ bench seat floor brackets are identical to MJ bucket's floor brackets.

Considering you have an older style floor bolt pattern , I would do what mfpdm did .

 

Much easier to fit . Newer style MJ's are allot harder to bolt in . I had to mod. some stuff no matter what .

XJ floor brackets are allot easier to find as well .

i just don't have the vises, and tools to do all the work needed to follow that walkthrough. Plus, reading through it again, you still need the MJ brackets, which mine are quite rusty and flimsy.

I'd give you my 92" bench floor brackets , but I don't think they will work on the older bolt pattern . :dunno:

Maybe someone knows more about it than me . I'm the class :dunce: around here just yet . I got tired of looking for

MJ floor brackets . So I did my own thing . Used a set of best top TJ seats and 95" XJ floor brackets and went to town .
