banjobill80
Hi fellas I was wondering if there were mopar guys here. progress has been good on the mj but now into another project. picked up a really nice dodge motorhome cheap the carb is all gummed up so I removed it for cleaning and when I look down into the intake there looks like about a 1inch pipe tap threaded hole. is this normal in the 360 2bbl doge intakes or should there be a plug in it? also another aprox 1/2 inch regular drilled hole on the other side of the manifold not sure its taped or not. I'm hopeing there isn't supposed to be a plug in there cause then I'll have to find the plug :fs1: anyway hope someone can shed some light Thanks

Pete M
I know there's a gap in the intake gasket on the drivers (?) side that is there to let heat escape from below. It wasn't a round hole though on the block I saw though.
banjobill80
I'll try to get some pics it has been raining/snow hard the last couple of days so I haven't been out there. The holes in question are inside the plentum when I took the carb off and looked inside the plentum is where I see them from the pasenger side of the RV The pipe taped hole is on the pasenger side and the other little hole is on the drivers side inside the plentum It is a stock castiron intake 2BBL I just haven't messed with alot of Mopars They look like they have never been pluged.. Is this maybe the inlets to what they call a dual plentum? I'm not sure but I would think gas and air would get into the motor case if it were a clean though hole it must be tied into the induction system somehow?? Also does anyone know if the 360 dodge motor uses a vally pan gasket? Thanks Bill..
