looking for an AC bypass pulley for a 89 4.0. anyone know if they make one ? i have found them for the 91 and up .

please drop me a line if you have one or info as to were to get one . thanks

dealership has them prety cheap but its cheaper to get a new bearing.

search it youl find part numbers

 

other places have universals but you don't want plastic

Yeah Junk yard may be my only hope. I will make a trip to the pull-a-part this week end then.

there's on on a 2WD Renix MJ down at my local yard I've been meaning to go back down and snag.....just haven't had time. It's in good shape other than the pulley face being a bit rusty.

 

I need to roadtrip to PA and won't be back until Sunday, but if I get back early enough I'll run down and grab it for ya.

the dealer does not make the renix type any more.

and new bearing for what ?

 

i got two from the dealer last summer. but an xj buddi of mine just replaced the bearing in the pully, its also been posted here in the past that such is possible

So he did get one for the 86-90 reneix system huh ?? guess I will be calling them tomarrow thank you for the heads up

call the dealer the other day. What a waste . the guy had NO idea what I was talking about . HOW do some people become parts people ?????? :wall:

nepotism :dunce: ..... actually its proly hiring criteria, my job does a criminal, u.a., credit, driving record, and even check for child support. don't ask me how i got the job....

I finally made it down to the junkyard (got waylayed on the way back Sunday by the ice storm). Snagged that pulley assembly for you if you still need it. I also grabbed the alternator bracket it's bolted to just in case yours is different. Shoot me a PM and I'll send you a couple of pics of it.
