buddy208 Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 i measured my caster angle which the top ball joint was 15 degrees from the ground towards the back tire which some one told me i need 6-8 but the wheels sit perfect in the middle of the wheel well, so does any one know if i should extend the top control arm or bottom
Eagle Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 I think you should double and triple check that angle before you do anything. That's twice the stock caster angle, and I've never heard of any lift combination that produced anything like that.
buddy208 Posted November 23, 2009 Author Posted November 23, 2009 well we extended the stock control arms but will be making some out of tubing soon
pingpong Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 My question is where did you measure your caster? As CW pointed out.. thats the proper way to measure it.
buddy208 Posted November 24, 2009 Author Posted November 24, 2009 we put a steel plate up to both ball joints and measure the angle from there
ncgamedog Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 just for reference...what is the proper caster angle?
buddy208 Posted November 28, 2009 Author Posted November 28, 2009 the guy we talked to said it should be between 6 and 8 i think
CWLONGSHOT Posted November 28, 2009 Posted November 28, 2009 That sounds correct, I'll tell you that it will drive and "feel" best at 8/9. But watch your front DS angles!! CW
