Pete M
Is it clean inside the plug or dirty? There are various plugs on MJs that don't really have a purpose on our trucks, but are still there because we share harnesses with XJs.
aemsee
what is the size and shape of the connector, and what year is your truck?
Eagle
Is your truck a 5-speed? If so, there are a few connectors (including at least one 3-terminal one) that relate to the auto trans and aren't used on the 5-speed trucks.

4play
Sounds like a plug I unhooked when I was removing the fuel rail for some injector cleaning / o-ring replacment. IIRC, there were 2, one for 2 wires, one for 3 wires; both near the firewall, running across the motor. Sorry I can't be more helpful. :dunce:
Xacto
The manual shows three plugs at the end of the harness that runs across the fuel rail: coolant temp, knock sensor and a three wire oxygen sensor connector. I can post the wiring diagram for that area if you need it.
comancheman
Thanks for the help guys. Xacto u got it, the reason theres no connector is because theres no o2 sensor on the truck right now, what an idiot
