Drahcir495
I never locked the doors on my Comanche or looked at the door locks when I bought it. When the paint shop said they could not lock the DS door, I was shocked. It looks pretty messed up and useless. Does anyone know where I can get new door lock from? I went to the pick-n-pull to get another set but they do not have the keys in the cars :headpop: Maybe I can have them repaired? Pete M
What looks messed up and useless? Did you look inside the door yet? I had issues with the passenger side door when I first got the 88 and a lot of lube eventually cured it. You need to spray all the parts inside the door. Drahcir495
What looks messed up and useless? The lock itself is messed up. The key will not go into it and parts are rattling in the lock. WD40 aint gonna fix this. I removed both locks fron the doors.-Rich
87manche
find a good local locksmith, they should be able to help you out, either repairing the lock or making a key matched to some junkyard locks. might want to look at just ordering a new lockset, JC whitney used to have the GM style door lock sets for cheap. JOMJ87
I have seen a replcement lock set at advance that uses the little round shaped keys like for tool boxes. I think they are for rice burners but they might work. Cole
Drahcir495
I removed the cover from the lock :D . It appears that the spring that controls the hole cover broke off and was blocking the way  . The key works but I am going to need a new cover.
