robfg67 Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 According to the MJ Parts Catalogue, there are two different types of bushings: Part # 5200 1161 w/o ECE Part # 5200 2539 w/ ECE What is ECE and which bushing is correct for my stock ’89 MJ?
jpnjim Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 I know there's a type of factory hushing that has windows cut out of the rubber (for a less harsh ride, I guess). Whichever ones those are, get the other kind. :smart:
jpdocdave Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 well i just did some searching, everytime it comes up it is saying w/ disconect axle. still it is very vague, but my guess would be w/ ece is w/ disconect axle. obviously no one has ever heard it called that before.

Willy The bushings in our (96') ZJ have the windows, same exact bushings (& arms for that matter) as XJ/MJ's, but with windows cut out of them. I don't know when they started using them, 1996 was a (ZJ) change year, so it could've been then. :hmm:
