Window channel replacement

Has anyone tried the JC Whitney brand of window channel (rubber) replacement? It seems to look the same (in the pictures) and is reasonable in cost.

 

I can no longer find the Team Cherokee version - guess they must have sold all of the $99.00 they had. :roll:

I've got the JCW channel and it works pretty good. Just be sure to notch the corners so that you're installing a single piece in the door (as opposed to 3 separate pieces).

could you explain what you said a little more in detail? I am a little confused.

When I cut it into 3 individual strips, the side channel wouldn't stay up in the frame when I rolled the window down. When I only snipped the sides of the channel (so I could bend it 90*) and kept it all in one piece, it stayed up fine. It's also important to overlap the corner flaps in the right way or the window will bind the upper channel as it pushes up that last 1/2".

 

I'll see if I can get a picture of what I mean.
