BIGHEEP
My MJ sits at about 6" of lift. I know where I can get shocks pretty cheap but ods are they don't list shocks for a Comanche with a 6" lift. Anyone know what other vehicle shocks would fit? Also I am thinking of going with a shock convertion up front so they don't need to be the stud type shocks.
Eagle
If you go to the Monroe shocks web site, they used to have their full catalog on-line. In the back of the catalog is a section that lists each shock by upper and lower mount type, and compressed and extended length. It takes a bit of hunting around, but using that data you can find a shock to fit just about anything. I haven't been on there for awhile because I have the printed master catalog, so I don't know for sure that they still have it on-line ... but I can't imagine that they would have removed it, it's too useful. SuicidalPenguin
Eagle is right on monroe's site. Go to http://catalog.tenneco.com/monroe/eCatalog.do and select your truck to find a part number for the shock. http://www.monroe.com/catalog_lookup/oc ... ppinfo.asp is the page that'll give you all the info on mounting and lengths. Bounty Hunter
Or go to www.jeepinoutfitters.com (Doetsh-Tech3000) to get the right size shock for around $30 each. jeepinoutfitters will have free shipping and the DT3000 is a good smooth shock. pingpong
It is also best to flex your rig out, to get your compressed and extended length. Everyone's rig flexes a lil different, and there is no magical number for the right size shocks, especially depending on driving style
feerocknok
We used the bumpstop for compressed length, and hung the axle for extended length.
