hello all. have been on richmondjeepers.com for some time now...mainly dealing with my 00xj. but, now...i am ready to tackle my 88mj.

specs: 1988 comanche pioneer, 2wd, 4cyl, manual, long bed, interior is awful, body is sound, engine...well...no clue as of right now.

first thing is to replace ignition...can't even turn it.

second thing is to put battery in...

third is checking compression...after all fluids have been flushed and plugs/wires/cap replaced?

have not done a thing since i picked it up from a guy going thru messy divorce...FOR FREE!!!!!!!!!

Not a bad looking truck, considering what you paid for it. jamminz.gif

May I suggest putting the battery in it before replacing the ignition? Or do you mean keylock?

Be sure to pull up the carpet at some point in time to see if there's any moisture under there.

'bout damn time you made it over here E....

Like I said on RJ, if ya wanna do the 4.0 and 4WD swap I'll give you a hand. You bring the beers and we can knock it out over a weekend :brows:
