sinkrun Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Try this http://www.shipgreyhound.com/ for CHEAP shipping of heavy or large items they go in the belly of the buss its quick and can be insured. I have saved as much as 75% over ups with large oversize items. You do have to pick it up at the buss stop they will call you when it comes in. Just wanted to share the info.
Oldred87 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 I have heard about there shipping. My friend had used them once and he had bad reviews about them. It took him about a month to get his package and the closes bus stop was 150 miles away. So it might save money but it seems like there service could be better. Oh and just to let u know he wasnt the one that wanted it shipped by greyhound the sender sent it that way and didnt even tell him till a week later that he shipped it by that
HOrnbrod Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 I've shipped a lot of stuff via Greyhound; rollbars, bucket seats, tires/wheels, body parts (err, CAR body parts), etc. Have never had any problems, as long as you pack it reasonably well. Delivery is pretty quick too. The downside is their max weight of 75 lbs though, so no engines, diffs, etc.
DirtyComanche Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 At work, we ship about 75% of our junk via greyhound. It's the only thing that reliably gets to half the places we work, save having someone drive it. I'd say I'm fairly positive about them. Never had any screw ups with my stuff.
