johnnyc Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 The question was posted on jeepforum.com regarding the width of an MJ bed. The person claimed that the front of the bed was wider than the rear of the bed. I was skeptical but went out to measure my bed. The front of the bed measures 56 5/16 inches. The rear of the bed measures 55 3/16 inches. A difference of 1 1/8 inches. Is this normal? If so, why would they build it like that?
jaekl Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 To stop your load from sliding out the back when the tailgate is down, just wedges in. Could be just styling to make it look right or reduce a bit air drag. There are three ideas maybe one is right.
