glundblad
I am in the need for a new Throttle Position Sensor for my '87 Comanche 4.0/5 speed. Can anyone suggest a good place to get one? I found one at Napa for a mere $114 but I hope to find one a little less expensive than that.
BLHTAZ
Unfortunately...that is what they run. I checked many places when I needed one and they were all withing a few dollars of that price.
1974CJ5
If it is the same part that fits the XJ with the same motor and year. http://www.cyberjeep.com has them for 89.99 I would also check out walck's they usually have really good prices and get most anything that is made. Their website is pretty shakey so I would just call them @: 610 852-3110 In my home town O'reilly's autoparts are almost always the cheapest, if you don't have an o'reilly's you probably have a CSK (same company). Thats the best advice I know of, other than trying a used one from the JY. If you have a pullapart near you that has the part (http://www.pullapart.com) the cost would $5.78 plus $0.57 for a warranty on it.
Pete M
Pull your part type junkyards are awesome for little stuff like that. The last TPS I bought was free since I was also buying a large item that day. :D Don't for get that a new TPS needs to be dialed in once installed. I forget where I saw the procedure though. Maybe someone else will remember where it is.

oldrusty
There were no cheap sources for a new tps that I could locate. I paid $104.00 for mine at my local NAPA. ( I get a small discount because I buy all my parts from them.) I will say that after installing it and adjusting for the correct output voltage my Comanche runs better than it has in months. Should have sucked it up and changed it out long ago......Now on to some new injectors
