1990 Pioneer 4x4 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I’m looking to upgrade my rear to a new D44 assembly. Last night when I was at the “4 Wheel Parts” store they were pushing the G2 assemblies. Has anyone else heard of these, or have had them? Looking for any feedback.
DirtyComanche Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 You lost me at 'G'. I'm extra lost with 'G2'.
Motion Offroad Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 G2 = Genuine Gear. It's their new "hip" marketing approach...
BLHTAZ Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 You don't here a lot about the Genuine Gear stuff, but I have them in both axles of the YJ (4.56) and in my 2002 Dodge Ram (4.10). I have never had any trouble with either and they have both been well tested
DirtyComanche Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 G2 = Genuine Gear. It's their new "hip" marketing approach... Great. Well, I don't think I'd buy Genu-whines, but I bet they're exactly the same as anything else save stuff that has been cryo'd.
