Will a wrangler rear axle fit the mj?

Yes, but you'll have to weld perches on the the proper spot.

OK. I just didn't know if they where the same width. I have the chance to get a 8.8 installed for $400. Person had it in his Wrangler but it came from a 2003 Explorer. Has disc brakes and a limited slip locker, guess I need to check the bolt pattern also. Thanks Pete

Bolt pattern is the same, 5 on 4.5"

Limited slip and locker are not the same type of differential unless it is a selectable locker that is a limited slip when off.
