White Trash

I bought this Jeep about four weeks ago. No rust, strong engine, poor paint and 2WD. The plans are to convert it to a 4WD using the drivetrain from a wrecked XJ that I bought two weeks ago. Here is what the Jeep looked like when I bought it, minus the 31's. I had those laying around and put them on to give it a better look.

You can't tell from those pictures but it had a huge "Comanche" across the hood with a checkered flag pattern underneath. The emblem was a little messed up due to age, so I decided to take off the stripes and all labels and prime it. The final color will be desert tan. Here are some pictures of the paint progress.

I don't have any pictures (yet) of the finished primer coats. I didn't prime the bed because I plan on having it Line X'd. I've been collecting parts for the conversion. So far I've collected:

RE 4.5" long arm lift

HP Dana 30 4.88 gears

Dana 44 4.88 gears

AW4

NP 231

Gauges (to get rid of dummy dash)

Lock-rite for D30

ARB for D44

35" MTZ on black rock crawlers

Mastercraft Mil-spec OD Green suspension seats

I'm still debating on putting an OBA system in, or just using my CO2 bottle. What would you guys recommend?

I'll post updates as they happen.
