tallon2064
Does anyone know of a good way to seal around the fuse box(firewall penetration)? Is there a gasket or would permatex be better. Last time it rained hard out found water coming in around it. Wasn't driving so i figure it's coming in through worn hood seal or getting in from cowl drain being stopped up, am going to try to fix both but I know water shouldn't come through the firewall regardless. The reason i checked is the nasty wet carpet syndrome.
87mjdriver
I just used some silicone sealant on the engine bay side, and sealed around the fuse box opening.
Pete M
When I had a similar thing happen in my 88, the water was leaking from the hood seal (the one at the back of the hood), dripping into the engine bay and following an wire down through one of the firewall holes.
