Front Bumper????

i just got a 97+ front bumper and using a older front end, antidisestablishmentarianism did you guys do cut the front fenders or cut the bumper end caps to fit around the fenders?

Some years ago when I was putting an aftermarket bumper on my 96 XJ, I just made a straight cut across with an air nibbler. Then I covered the edge with some rubber door edge moulding.

 

Didn't even think about doing it Marcus' way. His way turned out nicer than mine.

you could use a pair of folding tongs to fold the edge and make it look better, or use later XJ fenders.

Yup, thats pretty much the way I would do it, cut them about an inch longer than you need, and fold the extra over.

That is exactly the way I did mine as well, although mine is temporary until I get some TJ flares and remove more metal.
