my 87 doesnt have the door tag so i can't geta paint code so i can mix up some new color when it comes time to spray her. anyone gota paint code list for 87? my books only go back ot 94 at work i found 2 that i think might be close, just wana check. its the dark metallic grey color.

But you'll find the paint code on the firewall, right near the left hood hinge.

 

And even thought your is a '87, and that topic is a '90-

 

For '87-

 

3D or HA2 = Sterling Metallic Clearcoat

 

CC of HWB = Dover Gray Metallic Clearcoat

 

4m = Charcoal Gray Metallic Clearcoat.

Send me the last 9 digits of your VIN. Even though I have been laid off, I believe I can still access that type of info for now. A paint code must be a 3 digit number, so while "4M" may indicate a color, it is not a paint code for someone to mix from.

4M is a correct paint code for '87 American Motors, it's listed as Charcoal Poly at http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/ and as Wildman posted above.
