skimore11
I know I have seen finished overhead consoles with the temperature and compass and I saw a write up a long time ago but I searched and can't find a write up on how to do it.

jage
The wiring seemed easy enough to do, a hot, a ground, and dome lights. He mentioned that the dimmer wires got cut because he didn't like it (skip it?), and that leaves the temp sensors, which is what you really need to figure out because somehow I doubt your 87 came with built in temp sensors. So, since I have one of these out of a Grand and this link now I'm thinking about doing it too - anyone know what is needed for temp sensors? Basically the breakdown works like this: white/black [switched power 12v] black/green [ground for compass] black/blue [temp sensor] purple/green [temp sensor] blue/red [lights on input] orange/black [panel dimmer] dome lights [this connects to your existing wiring for dome lights so it's a no brainer] black [ground] yellow [courtesy lamp input] pink [constant 12v power] The large pink wire is for the visor vanity mirrors.
