How do you change the bulb? The clear lens turns a little to the side but thats it. Is there a way to get the lens out w/out breaking the little clips?

I had to change one in my daughter's XJ...used a small screwdriver to gently push one of the contacts back till the bulb popped free.

So you have to remove the bulb thru the side, right? The lens does not come off (w/out breaking)?

Yep, That's how I changed mine.

Are you trying to remove the bulb from inside the truck?

Go to the end of the lite and remove the whole lite, lens and frame. Then you can safely remove the bulb on the side of the lite itself. Ill post a pic of it.

Carefully remove the bulb from the side to change it if your lite has worked before. Mine hasn't worked from the day I got it, so I cleaned the contacts with a small needle file.

 

First I used a screwdriver on the end of the lens where the plug connect to the lite, next to the pivot point, carefully pry the lens off.

Doing this will allow you to get into the lite so you can clean up all the metal contacts, on the base and on the lens.
