front brake hoses

Okay, I've been told YJ front brake hoses are 3" longer than MJ/XJ ones.

 

My research tells me 87 through 95 Wranglers were YJs.

 

Now here's the problem: there are different parts listed for 87-89 and 90-95.

 

So which ones do I get? Or do I go by the year of my truck because it's due to the same hub changeover that happened on the Comanches and Cherokees?

i went with 1990 gmc 2500 fromt hoses on my xj, they were pretty long

I do not think its ganna make a difference. I think its anti loc avalibility and if so has no bearing on our applications.

 

I am running 4" ext YJ lines on mine. don't remember for sure the year, but I THINK it was 95...

I believe I used '95 YJ hoses in the '88 MJ when I had the lift in it, too. Had to re-bend the hard line on the caliper end slightly, but the fittings went together and they were plenty long enough for a 4" lift.

^Me too,screwed right in,lots of slack with 4.5" lift.

Do they have the tab with the "pin" and screw hole to screw to the frame?

no, they have that odd metal tab like the durango ones, I just nipped it off. Heck, I got the extra length I needed for a while by unhooking that oiece and straightening out the hard line
