HOrnbrod
Thought I'd change the title since 'Bama is gone. :(

HOrnbrod
Clever Wahoo. :D I like it! The Tide wiped the Dawgs, no problemo. I don't think the rest of the SEC matters now, except for Auburn, the Iron Bowl is always in doubt no matter what the records. Prolly the best rivalry in NCAA football matey. ROLL TIDE! WahooSteeler
I think I may have told you once before Don, but I had the pleasure of attending the Iron Bowl in 1986 at Legion Field. Bama lost 10-0 but it was definitely an experience of a lifetime. Going to Dreamland BBQ that is LOL, and the game was fun too!
HOrnbrod
Bama and (ugh) Auburn football is like a religion here; if you like one team you hate the other. Daughter #2 is attanding UA in Tuscaloosa and is in her freshman year, and gets free tickets because she's in the USAF ROTC. :D And Dreamland, that's just the best barbeque of the planet.
HOrnbrod
HOOOOOAAAAAAAHHHHHH! Another sloppy win today for the Tide against Kentucky. Maybe we be #1 next week?? Doubt it though as Oklahoma beat the crap and ran the score up on Baylor. ROLL TIDE!
HOrnbrod
Dayem! #2 'Bama beats Arkansas State 35-zip; #1 Texas LOSES to T-Tech 39-33. Bama B #1, who's #2???? ROLL TIDE!
Wanker
Roll Tide! I'm happy we're back at the top. :clapping: I hope they put on another good road performance against LSU next week.
HOrnbrod
Me too. Then there's Miss State and Auburn at home. Auburn worries me more than the others. It don't matter what the records are in the Iron Bowl.
Akula69
Roll Tide! I'm happy we're back at the top. :clapping: I hope they put on another good road performance against LSU next week. Hmmm. I guess we'll see...too late for LSU to get a bowl slot, but we can still screw up someone else's chances! The only problem is, someone is still gonna have to whip the Gators in the SEC championship. HOrnbrod
The only problem is, someone is still gonna have to whip the Gators in the SEC championship. True. But that game will be in the Georgia Dome and we'll have more fans there (me included IF 'Bama makes it :D ). It will almost be like a home game. Hopefully. Maybe. Perhaps............ Wanker
27 - 21 Alabama rolls again! That should hush the commentators questioning their ability to come from behind. Bring on Mississippi State!

SuperWade2
I know it's a "Rivalry" game, but kicking butt of a 5-7 Team isn't THAT big of deal... any only 36 Pts, whats up with that... I honestly think FLA will eat the tides lunch, but I've been wrong before...
HOrnbrod
Yeah, Florida will probably be favored, as 'Bama is not what you'd call a flashy team, but they are solid everywhere, especially their offensive line and running game. They don't run up the score, party down in the endzone after scoring, and generally act like fools like most of the rest of the SEC and the Big 12. It's a good reflection on their coaching. I'm pickin' Bama of course next week in Atlanta, but it'll be close.
Wanker
Alabama is a team, Florida is not. Florida might win, but Alabama is the better team. Florida has several great players, but the rest are par for the course. I'll take the team every time instead of the showboats.
HOrnbrod
Tide vs. Gators. "Bama's a 10 point underdog depending on who's poll you read, just where we want to be. Whoever wins (Bama of course) will go on to the national championship game, probably against some scurvy Big 12 team like the Horns. :D
SuperWade2
FLA by 14 and then Oklahoma will CRUSH Florida in the Championship game...won't even be close...SEC dudes will see just how "down" they really were this year...

L :rotf: O :rotf: L  I'll be happy to post tomorrow after the game and if I'm wrong, I'll be happy to admit that I was... I'll be happy to also take credit WHEN I'm right. If I were laying $$$ (which I'm not), I would take Florida every second of every day of the week. Nobody in their right might can convince me that the SEC is as strong top to bottom as they have been in the past... I don't even know that it's the 2nd best Conference this year top to bottom... Unfortunately my Team, Nebraska, has to play a crappy ACC team (Clemson) , who I don't think will be able to keep with with one of the "scurvy" Big12 Offenses... SuperWade2
You are a sick man Wade who's living in a water polo beach volleyball world. Cali has ruined your brain mate............ :D My body might be in Cali, but my Football "soul" is squarely centered in the Heartland (Lincoln, Nebraska specifically)... I don't pay attention to any football from the left coast...they are all a joke (minus USC, but even then)... I have watched virtually every SEC/BIG12 game this year, some Big 10 (talk about REALLY down year), and a few of the smaller conferences... Don't watch much ACC or Big East... BRING BACK Tom Osborne! I went to William and Mary, where the teams always played like Mary, not William. Talk about futility. And I love the ACC and Big East, but only in basketball season............
SuperWade2
I will admin that I was wrong.... I said 2 TD's... was only 11 Pts.. they would have covered the spread by most books lines... After watching parts of this game I am even MORE confidant that the Big 12 Rep (Oklahoma, but Texas would win as well) will run FLA out of the stadium...but If I'm wrong then, I'll take it like a man and admit I'm wrong! Tebow is pretty good... I don't think "one of the greatest players EVER" like the talking heads on CBS were talking about...Not the 5 best QB in the county this year in my Opinion...
