I was on my way to work yesterday and my spark plug blew out of the cylinder head. NO threads were damaged. So I pulled over and put it back in and drove to work. NO problems since.

Only thing I can think of is maybe it slowly loosened and worked its way out until the compression popped it out. But even that doesn't seem likely.

You're right, that's weird. :dunno:

Yeah I thought that too. But wouldn't you think that the gap between the spark plug would be to big to even start the vehicle. I don't romp on my DD cause it has 267,xxx miles on it and runs awesome. SOoo. Who knows as long as it's runnning fine.

Actually I had that happen to my Isuzu Trooper II. Pretty funny actually, since it had a burnt valve an was only running on 3 cylinders in the first place, managed to make it another 15 miles to work so I could fix it though. To this day I have no idea why it happened, but I suspect that it had worked loose due to vibration.
