creepinjeepin Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 I was on my way to work yesterday and my spark plug blew out of the cylinder head. NO threads were damaged. So I pulled over and put it back in and drove to work. NO problems since.
Pete M Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Only thing I can think of is maybe it slowly loosened and worked its way out until the compression popped it out. But even that doesn't seem likely. You're right, that's weird. :dunno:

I don't romp on my DD cause it has 267,xxx miles on it and runs awesome. SOoo. Who knows as long as it's runnning fine.
Phager Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Actually I had that happen to my Isuzu Trooper II. Pretty funny actually, since it had a burnt valve an was only running on 3 cylinders in the first place, managed to make it another 15 miles to work so I could fix it though. To this day I have no idea why it happened, but I suspect that it had worked loose due to vibration. Pat
