mjtjnj Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 Hey guys, my 87 ax-5 had two threaded connectors into the side of the passenger side housing. The foremost one was the backup light switch. I don't know what the aftmost one was for, but the replacement 2000 XJ AX5 I'm putting in doesn't have a hole for it. Here is a picture of the sensor or whatever it is that I took out of the trans. I'll just cut that little ol wire ;) I think the bulb was burned out anyway! Thanks. What's funny, though is that the end of the sensor you CAN'T see, screwed into the trans, has a ball at the other end, and it's spring loaded, you can push it in a bit and it pushes back out.
