  1. Anyone know where I can find a set of headlight frames online? The tabs on mine broke.
  2. Hello all, I am new to the club and have been looking for a comanche for quite some time now. I have found one that is close and seems to be a good deal except for this picture the owner sent. The owner said the frame has no rust on it, but this looks like frame rust to me. I think its right in the middle under the cab, but as I have never owned a comanche before I do not know enough to make a decision on this. Is it fixable within reason if this really is the only rust? I do have an arc welder but do not know how big of a project this might be and I do not know how important these bars are. Any input is appreciated. I have not gone to see the truck in person yet.
  3. Building up a very fast Comanche. I have a 350 small block under the hood. I have experience stiffening the frame of baja buggies and tube frame cars but I don't know how to start with a Comanche. The unitbody front and full frame rear has me in a bind. I know the absolute best thing to do is cut it all off and build my own full frame but I don't have the money for that now. Anybody have any ideas on how to build up the unitbody under the cab? For the rear I'm thinking 4130 2x4 .095 or .125 gussets then lightweight them. The front though probably stiffen sidewalls and sandwich top, maybe add gussets but I don't know what the best option would be. Anyone have any experience with this?
  4. So I bought this Comanche about a year ago, after a long day of wheeling maybe 6 months ago the rusty unibody cracked. I have begun restoring the jeep and have plans for a whole frame build.
  5. ok this is bothering me really bad and i need to know does anyone know what the support rail is on the floor of the comanche that runs right over top the frame rail? and if i can buy a new one please help
