  1. Does the 82300393 have a clock?
  2. What I learned: The gauge-needle is moved by magnets driven by 1-ohm to 88-ohm(full-tank). Applied voltage... Watch the needle go ♬ up-and-down, up-and-down ♬. Cleaned terminals on sending-unit and applied dielectric-compound. All is good in Désirée land again!
  3. Poked around a bit today... No progress. Trip to the local mechanic for help.
  4. I have the FSM wiring diagram... Doesn't help me... Technically challenged!
  5. Any chance someone could connect the "LETTERS" for me?
  6. Updating the obvious... Tank levels not a factor!
  7. Disclaimer: I'm not technical. What are the most common reasons a gas-gauge does not work?
  8. I have the clock working... That was the easy part! Then there appears to be a connector that may interface with the magic-blue-box. But I'd rather do some testing before making any connections. Anyone happen to have a wiring diagram for it? Such as a Chilton or Haynes?
  9. I kinda get the feeling that the challenge may too much for me. But... At maybe at least... I won't have a blank-cover! ;)
  10. I know... The NOS display didn't come with the associated wiring/controller. I'll won't tell anyone if you don't! :P I thought you only went for NOS on your FSJ's Crist. I used to browse IFSJA all the time and read through countless threads. Methinks I should scour the web for good deals on rare goodies like these.
  11. MAYBE someday I'll get mine to work... No promises! I found two used complete units and one NOS display-module.
  12. So... Why all the empty-space inside my clock? Am I missing an option?
  13. FYI: I did finally figure out how to wire the wiring-harnesses from the 1987 XJ to the, much more common of the time, radio:
  14. Still got the XJ Wagoneer radio by chance?
  15. So excellent! Looks like the connections I need! Now I know what I'm looking for... Thanks!!!
  16. I do believe I see the correct connectors peeking out the side? Got a model number by chance?
  17. I knew that... :crossfingers:
  18. Looks like there are hints in the thread that may help me... I am in need of the original radio details for my 1987 Wagoneer XJ Limited (Not a Grand Wagoneer)... Help?
