  1. I have changed out the o 2 sensor earlier but still no change. Will do the check of the manifold bolts this weekend. Thanks for your help.
  2. The I.A.C. and the MAP sensor? I have a 1986, 2.5 4 cyln Comanche with idle issues. I have done a tune up, plugs, cap rotor, oil and filters change (oil and fuel). Changed out the some of the vacuum hoses on the driver side of the engine, and changed out the vacuum block at the bottom back side of the TBI, with new hoses. As previous written up here on CC. Removed the injector and let it soak in sea foam. While the engine trying to maintain an idle I unplugged the IAC and no change. Is my IAC done? Also how do you clean the IAC, anyway?
  3. Thank you for the help.
  4. I have a 2.5 86 manche. What is a good pug to use to burn out the carbon in the cylinders. Out here in California I have gotten some lousy fuel lately and want to clean up the insides before a smog in January. Any suggestions other than changing the 4 to a 6?
  5. What year came with the dual diaphragm booster. I can't remember what year I got mine off of. I guess I will be junk yarding Saturday.
  6. Thank you every one for your help in this matter. You are awsome.
  7. A vacumn leak in the booster? My pedal is hard with the engine is off. And now that you have mentioned it I do here a possible air leak inside the cab when I push on the brake.
  8. My Manche is sick. First off its a 1986 2.5 cyl 4, 5 speed 4x4. When my truck is ideling in nuetral, I step on the brake and the engine starts to stumble and has a rich (exhaust) order. I have done a 91 cherokee dual diafram conversion on the brakes. Also the brakes seem spongey, I recently replaced both front hydrolic hoses and bleed the brakes. When bleeding the brakes, do I do it with the engine on or off? I thought I heard that you are supose to remove the hose on the brake booster. Is this true?
  9. Are injectors for or on my tbi 1986 custom 4 cyln suppose to be loud? So loud I can hear it with the hood shut and engine running?
  10. Hello, I have a 1986 MJ 4X4 with a 2.5L gasoline engine, throttle body with a 5 speed transmission. I have replaced my fuel pump thinking that this would fix my problem also I have replaced the fuel filter, air filter and spark plugs. My problem is that when I am accelerating, it hesitates for a moment then continues to operate fine. Also I can hear my injector spit fuel loudly, can this be my problem?
