  2. are you swaping the front grill shall and using the pre 97 fenders?
  3. thanks for the contact
  4. No heat... It's 18g steel, bends kind of easy
  5. I'm swaping a 95 HO engine into my 88 comanche and for now I am going to stay with the BA-10 trans. My issue is it seems Jeep changed the crank shaft on the later 4.0's and the pilot bearing that fits the input shaft on my trans doesn't fit in the tail of the crank shaft (diameter of the bearing is 2 large) Is there a bearing that I can use or does any one have a part number of a bearing that will resolve this little issue I'm having? Any info would be great. Thanks
  6. How did you get that nice roll on the sheetmetal?[/quote I bent it around a 3" piece of pipe I had laying around
  7. That's about your only other option at this point. I was going through the same thing so I'm going with a custom set of tube flares
  8. you can make your own filler pannels. It's real eash and you can get the shet metal cheep at home depot and install any light you want. I just used Leds [/img]
  9. Don't wast your time or money with the rustys flares. I had one shatter into a hundred pieces about an hour after i installed them on my old XJ. I brushed a small tree and it exploded
  10. yeah I remember there being a crap load of spot welds. Can't wait to se some progress pictures
  11. danm ..I have been looking for a cap
  12. I just pump MP-39 into the old R-12 systems it's the replacment for r-12. Doesn;t hurt to be a refer and Hvac service tech :brows:
  13. just picked up a nice 8.8 out of a 1999 ford exploder with an LSD,disc brakes and 4.10's. A buddy of mine is a scrap man and some guy was cleaning out his shop and grabed this for me for free along with 2 14 bolt FF's and a set of chevy 8" lift springs. more then likly going to sell the springs and 14 bolts if any one know someone whos interested in any of that crap
  14. Where can you get new decals??? Sean I'm having a buddy of mine make them
  15. I got most of it pulled out over the weekend but the rust is so bad I may just look for another bed
  16. Still looking for a partner to buy in on this with ya. I really neeed a bed and I'm not to far from there either
  17. Well now that she's home I had a chance to go over it. The kid I got it from bought it from a dealer that got it from the OG owner whick was a tech at jeep so he says. Has 4.10's, new tie rod ends, new steering box,new brake lines, brakes, roters and drums, new clutch, slave and master, cab and nose are real clean. No rot in floor but the bed has seen better days. also missing ebrake cables and has a busted rear spring. Here's a couple pictures of how she was when I picked her up. a sad attempt by someone to try and cover up some rust Here's what you have all been waiting for. Here's why I got it for $200. Shot a rod right through the side of the block and damn near tore the engine mount off. I have a spare 88 cherokee laying around so I plan on swaping the engine over. Already got the engine out of the chief and plan on swaping the other one in within the next 2 weeks or so.
  18. Anyone have a lead or know of a place to score some comanche bed sides or at least patch panels for around the wheel wells?
  19. This one is going to be a bit of a resto mod. Going to go with about 4 or 5 inches with some 32's going to get a fresh coat of paint and some new Chief decals and just going to use this one for a weekend wheeler/spare truck to haul my quad around and what not.
  20. Adding another MJ to the herd. Just picked up an 88 4x4 Chief today for $200.00. I'll throw some pictures up of it this weekend
  21. Love the Krawlers. Nice addition to the truck
  22. read under each picture. I threw a comment or 2 in there
  23. Nice job on getting that all out
  24. Got the dash itself out today thanks to your help man. I tell ya what once you get the "face" off you can really see all the support systems and such. Looks like it's going to a challenge to get the whole duct system out though. I see 5 studs going through the firewall, do you remember what else holds it in? I believe that's it as far as the AC/heater box goes. Remove those studs and it pulls right out
  25. Not a problem. There are the bolts under the kick pannels on each side. The ones along the top of the dash and there are also 2 more right under the dash hidden behind the front portion of the console that bolt to the trans tunnel and it should slip right out
