  1. The cost will be $5 to enter park through Forbidden Zone Any questions or directions email me: barillms@hotmail.com Hope to see another MJ there!!!! Image Not Found
  2. This 10 min video shows some of my '88 Comanche in action from behind: My MJ is the REALLY long wheelbase thing with the cage instead of a roof. It's a long bed bobbed 20", roof chopped, S&W 10 Point cage, Spring over with a Ford 8.8 welded, 6.6" RockKrawler coils and homemade long arms! Check it out!! http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 6995991636
  3. Junkyard for $30?? Is that whay you mean? I'd like a new one... where did you buy a 78 Mecury Marquis master cylinder? They had 4 wheels discs in 1978?
  4. Check this thing out, it's perfect for our trucks!! Called the RAT CAGE www.rat-cage.com Good stuff.
  5. You can make your own for under $200. Its very simple stuff if you're smart about it.
  6. I'm running a 3-leaf pack in the rear of my MJ. I did a spring over with huge anti-wrap perches. The leafs are still holding their arch, I removed the very bottom leaf and have netted around 7" of lift with a Ford 8.8 rear end sprung over with Ruff Stuff Specialitites simple swap kit. It's a nice ride, soft as hell and flexes awesome. Anybody else do this?
  7. Yea, you NEED at least 6.5" coils up front to keep it level with the spring over out back. Try removing the shortest leaf in the spring pack. I did this, and it my rear flexes awesome and it lowers it a little.
  8. I have an electric Ford Taurus fan, and it quit working. I wasn't aware that it wasn't on. It was the maiden run for the old MJ. It blew the inline fuse in the beginning of the trail ride. It was 90 degrees and no breeze. I basically drove the damn Jeep around then entire trail ride with the temp between 240-270. I was stopping every 20 minutes or so, and letting it sit in the shade and cool down. It was hot. Finally, at the end of the day, it finally started boiling and steamed off. Then I realized my fuse was blown, and direct wired my fan up on High speed setting and it ran at 210-220 all the way home. I started it up last night, and it sounds fine... I'll take it for a test drive this weekend and see if she's ok or not.
  9. I need a good skid for my T Case. Which one is beefy and nice? Will the XJ skids fit the MJ??
  10. Whats the MAX temp. the 4.0 can get up to before you starting doing damage? I boilled the $#!& out of mine this past weekend.
  11. Sorry, I'm using trailer lights for my rear tail lights on my MJ, because I bobbed the bed. They are 3 way, stop, turn and tail lights from Tractor Supply. They aren't LED, normal $9 lights. I can't figure out what wires go where.
  12. I'm trying to wire up flush mount trailer lights. The oval kind, not LEDs. The lights have 3 wires each. Red, black, white. I got 5 wires to work with in the back of my Jeep: Blue, Brown, Black, Brown w/ stripe and Grey w/ stripe. I tested all the wires with a test light. The GREY striped wire is the ONLY WIRE that is doing anything. It lights up for BOTH Brake light AND Left turn signal. The right turn signal isn't lighting up any wire, and this confuses me. I assuming the BLACK is a ground, it's a thicker wire. I have no clue what the other 3 are for. I'm totally lost. Can anyone help me? I hate wiring...
  13. My 5 wires going to the back consist of: Blue, Brown, Black (thicker), Brown w/ stripe, Grey w/ stripe. Only One wire is hot... brake light and left turn signal light up the grey striped wire. The right turn signal does nothing to any of the wires. I hate wiring.
  14. Haha!! That must be it then!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have those wires conected to anything back in the back. The wire cluster that goes from the front to the back of the bed consists of 5 wires I do believe. I am assuming the BLACK wire is the ground??
  15. Lets start over.... 2 Questions: Question 1: Where EXACTLY is the "Sending Unit" Ground wire? Question 2: WHAT HAPPENS when the "Tail light Ground" is disconnected?
  16. Will somebody tell me where the ground is located??
  17. Why dark colors? Go yellow or bright orange!
  18. ALSO... I my gas guage is acting crazy! it's not reading properly.
  19. the fuel pump is inside of the gas tank, right?? I had it out of the tank because I painted the gas tank and pulled everying out if it. It there a "Sending Unit" AND a Fuel pump?? Where exactly is this fuel pump ground located?? Inside the tank? It starts, then sputters and wants to stall.... It seems like its not getting fuel. It could be something that has to do with the gas tank since I had everything apart.
  20. I'd have to say... just cut em with a grinder with a 5" disc.
  21. Whats the deal with this tail light groud wire thing? What happens when it's not grounded? Will the vehicle start? I have my '88 long bed tail light wiring totally disconnected right now, because I bobbed my bed, and the vehicle will start up but is wanting to cut out and stall on me. I just relocated my gas tank into my tool box, and the cutting out makes me think its not getting gas properly... but then I remembered about the tail light ground wire thing.... I'm not sure. Any help will be great. Thanks
  22. No Club charges. it's $5 to enter into the offroad park through the Forbidden Zone camp.
