:yeah that: Thats good advice. ...Right?
-
Anyone know if I could use the xjs fuse box as an aux. one in the mj?
-
Yea, but my mj is an 86, and for the fab work needed for the 4.0 id rather have a 318. More power, less weight. Plus I only paid half, a buddy who just blew a hole in his block in his xj paid for part for the engine
-
Didn't think about front d30 or steering column. Tcase I consider a package deal with the tranny
-
Nah, manual windows, which is good because I needed the cranks. And I have oe black in the mj, interior in the xj is gray, but I'm considering making it a two tone type set up
-
Runs and shifts great, picked it up last night. Aside from the ax15, any particulars I should take from it for the mj? A buddy is gettin the 4.0 since he blew a hole through his block, and whatever we don't want/need is hittun the scrapper

THATS the one i was looking for, but nobody around had one. Read good reviews about the flik so i went with it. wish i had the socket adapter and carbide cutters though
-
I was trying to find one with a pocket clip, but the Gerber fits in my pocket pretty well, so no big issue. just don't like belt pouches because they get caught on everything.
-
me like it all too... especially the girls...
-
:rotf: That always happens to me with $30-40 knives Anyway, i got a Gerber Flik, mainly because its a smaller sized multi tool and has one-handed opening for the pliers, with a lock for the other tools. I'll have to post again, see how well its held up after a week of MY use. I tend to be rather hard on them...
-
Can anyone recommend a good pocket multitool for use in a steelshop as well as jeepin and whatever else comes your way? Need a good one, so I'm wonderimg what everyone else is carrying
-
All of this ^^ is anothee reason I pove this forum so much. It seems a large majority of us on here have common sense and can actually think for ourselves, a trait I'm beginning to believe is disappearing from America
-
Incommando, I whole heartidly agree. As for the rest of it, I believe the heart of the problem is nearly everyone I see believes that they shouldn't have to work for what they want, but that it is instead owed them. So we have all these lazy, wastes of air leeching from a system they put nothing into. And don't get me wrong, I believe we should all do our best to make america the great country its always been, and I love her and all she stands for more than most, but can't help but wonder if all the leeches on society have made the field infertile, so to speak.

Would the transmission in a '94 XJ, 4x4, be an ax15? I'm looking for one for a 318 swap in the mj, and wasnt sure if it would be the ba10 or not.
-
maybe a combination of this guy, :fs1: these two, :thwak:, him,, and mr soap box ranter :soap box: ? but i had the same question in mind as rob, what do you do with the ones you got since THEY messed up the order?

Just rebuild the carb for my 2.8, but before i put it in, i need to know if the gasket that goes between the carb and intake should be replaced or not. the gasket that was there had a small "grate" on the bottom of it with wiring coming off, and even has a square cut out on the intake for it to fit. the gasket in the kit does not have the grate on it. I'll try to get some pics of new vs old up, and top of the intake if needed, but hopefully someone can tell me without

No joke, after hearing him on the phone and blowing me off the first time, stuck it in the truck just in case. 'specially round here, too many crazy meth heads :ack: EDIT Guy posted it 2 more times, same pics, slightly different pics. Thinking more and more its a scam.
-
yea, i was contemplating calling him again today, but decided against it since it got me nowhere yesterday and i have more important things i should be putting money into
-
Nope, not sure what the deal is. The guy told me he'd call back when he got home, said itd be about an hour, never called, but reposted the jeep. still no call, and no answer when i tried? repost 1 http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/3305264291.html repost 2 http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/3304253016.html so i don't think he sold it, I'm going to try calling again tomorrow morning and hope for the best
-
I'm hoping I can get it for 5, that will leave me enough to title and licence it Monday instead of waiting till payday
-
That's what I figured, though I'm nearly positive the rust will be horrible, since were in mo, salty roads, acidic soil and what not
-
http://kansascity.craigslist.org/cto/3303684833.html This just popped up a mile from my house, was hoping for some quick opinions and a refresher on what to look for before buying Thanks in advance
-
I'm all for a yj, id like to have one, but I've never seen one within reasonable driving distance that I could get for less than $2000
-
Only problem with a yj, i can't get one for less than $600. Title less xj's go for 500-750 very regularly here, and i want something that i won't care about hitting trees or flipping on its side.

Thats more or less what we were planning, remove back glass, doors, front fenders (no need to cut if theyre not there, plus its spares for the mj!) headlights, anythign that could be more useful on something else, maybe chop the back. thinking about a minor cage, just to keep the body somewhat strong, and for roll protection around the driver and passenger. just a 2" bb or 3? a buddy of mine i went wheeling with, who rekindled my xj love, has 31s with nothing but trimmed fenders, so I'm guessing just 2"? also, does anyone know about pictures showing welded spider gears? this xj won't see pavement anymore than it takes to put it on a trailer, and welding the spiders seems much, much cheaper than any lockers.
