  2. Trying to figure out the size of my pilot bearing. Not sure of the diameter on the input shaft. Do I have to guess here or is there a common size? Rockauto lists like 5 different ones. Its an 86 Manual AX5 2WD. I am replacing my throwout bearing and was told to get one of these too. It is my DD and I don't want to pull it to get a mic on it then order it and put the trans on only to pull it again.
  3. I got sick of having particles fall on me so I picked up some headliner material and did it. Image Not Found Image Not Found
  4. Yes, I have them on mine. The shocks run a little lower on the stroke but they are perfect for a 2in. lift. Coils are nice and they ride about 3/8" lower but a ton smoother. You need to run your MJ bar pins or cut off the ends on the JK ones and drill new holes, they are conveniently stamped for where the hole needs to be drilled. Haven't used the rears yet, I assume they will work fine.
  5. Yup, I tried them out there, because I made removable hinges (hence the burns on the fender heating up the pins) so the mirrors would not be a prob. Decided it was too hard to see them. If I can't fix them before I paint it, I will just be replacing the fenders then. Thanks, pictures will continue.
  6. Now that I thought about it, it isn't cut square, I traced the flare when I cut it, it was just the weather-stripping that looked square, I cut the flap off. Here Image Not Found Image Not Found I will be putting the flares back on as well. Little bit of trimming, then just need to figure out how to remount. Image Not Found
  7. Ya I saw your truck too. My cousin lives there. I had to cut it that way to get rid of the rust.
  8. Got some parts in the mail today. Image Not Found Before Image Not Found Image Not Found After Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
  9. Alright that makes sense. Yes, clutch depressed only. Pat- I may take you up on that 2wd soon anyways though. My rev is going. I just had this trans out not too long ago. Pm me a price.
  10. Just when I am stopped I put it in any gear at it starts to whine, almost sounds like how a pulley would. When I put it in neutral it continues for a second or two. I should be looking for a new trans huh? Everything shifts fine, just a shame if I would have to replace it.
  11. I tried this too.. It looked like my XJ was wearing a t-shirt inside out though. It's not a finished side on the back. Sound like you can get one from harley though  Here I looked a little bit, this one looks to be plain. http://www.jcwhitney.com/tailgate-nets/ ... id=8163615
  12. It's not junk. Actually I hate the stuff, the raw chemicals are nasty. You don't have to have them paint the bed either this way. I get brand new trucks in my shop with unpainted beds every once and awhile it's pretty nice.
  13. Passenger side Image Not Found Drivers side I have not looked at yet.
  14. Don't you love when you find out this is all that was holding? Image Not Found Just painted my floor on Sun as well. Can't wait to see how it holds up.
  15. If you are going to do a bed-liner. I would do that last if you are going to do an over-rail. I do spray liners professionally. It is just easier to cover paint with bed-liner than it is to tape off your new liner and paint up to it.. it's a cleaner line. Plus if you stripped it, you have that chance of rust finding its way up there. Just my $.02.
  16. I wish my list was that short... New window cranks are nice. I have had sloppy ones in all my vehicles. Feels like your gonna punch something you don't want to someday.
  17. Ya it has a dent. Edit: No dent thought you were talking about the pumpkin.
  18. Ya here, tell me more Image Not Found Image Not Found
  19. Threw some more of the stock pile on today. As of today my amount of parts has exceeded the value of the truck. Image Not Found Image Not Found How did that work?? Image Not Found Yes the adjuster is not in yet in the picture. 20. Thanks that was pretty cool to check out. Ya I saw he was when I was looking at the for sale thread. Well my tag says 06/85, so ya the build date is there, but the in service is a different story. I am sure the dealer that sold it has that info right? Or is that a manufacturer thing?
  21. How do I find out if this is a Custom, X, or XLS? 1JTWW6674GT003460
  22. Found one, its all buttoned up, just taking a break. Put some oil in it and hope it doesn't leak in the morning when I start it up.
  23. I think they are cool too. It is different. Mine is a little bent up from when the bumper was hit. I will fix it one day.
  24. Put the new bumper and corners on as well as fabbed up a plate mount out of some very thick plexiglass I had. The steering stabilizer was put in, I haven't been able to drive it yet to see how it feels. By the way the JK suspension rides like a cloud. Rear main seal was done as well as the valve cover gaskets. After this oil pan gasket ordeal is taken care of, my next project is all the tie rod ends and ball joints. I have the trucks value of new parts sitting in the bed right now, just need the time to install them. Oh ya did a quick lift too! Image Not Found Jack stands
