  1. I saved mine from being used in an employee demolition derby at the race shop I worked at. I traded a 84 Dodge full size in good shape for it. And then the sickness sat in and my pockets are perpetually empty.
  2. Still using the 2.8 radiator. It runs about 190-200 with the hood vents.
  3. More pics... Hood vents installed and the hood painted semi-gloss black. Sliders (better pics) Fuel cell installed JCR rear bumper My daily driver
  4. Got some new/old pics to post. Got a few bad shots of my sliders. Dropping my truck off at JCR Offroad last year. And installing hood vents. Dropping her off at JCR. Sliders Hood vents Stuck on spring pad
  5. Both of mine do the same thing. One is a LWB and the other a SWB. Both have new shocks and everything is tight underneath. The couple other trucks I have had have don the same thing I chalk it up as a "truck noise".
  6. I have the stage 2 sliders on my LWB and they are less ghey than nerf bars. (They used my truck to fab the LWB sliders.)(JCRoffroad that is.)
  7. I also really like my JCR rear bumper. They used my long bed to fab the rear bumper mounts as they differ from short box mounts.
  8. Thank you. I figured they should be tight. I don't have a leak yet but it is starting to rattle.
  9. I have been getting an annoying rattle and have secured everything under the truck. But the donut gasket flange bolts turn in their holes with hardly any effort. Should they do this? Or should they be tight? :dunno:
  10. Cool that is what I was looking for. Thanks again!
  11. Trying to replace the knob. The current one is loc-tited on so I really don't want to remove it unless I have to.
  12. What is the thread size for the shifter knob on a 1987 AX4?
  13. Thanks guys.
  14. They will be mounted to a JCR rear bumper in the D-ring tabs. Just light recovery is all I am worried about.
  15. Is a clevis shackle with a safe working limit of 9000lbs safe for vehicle recovery? It is a 3/4" shackle, 7/8" pin.
  16. I made a pretty nice bed mounted spare tire holder out of the spare holder from a jeep liberty.
  17. In for a set. 1.)Jeepcomj 2.)Cdn Glenwood 3.)pingpong 4.)88pioneer 5.)dakal 6.)Raoden83 7.)DJM/78 8.)possum
  18. I think this might be the one... viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15237&hilit=ls1
  19. I like it. It's like the street version of my V-8 rig. http://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/bar/1487219324.html
  20. Skyjacker 3" lift. That's what I run and I am pretty happy with it. But you know what they say about opinions.
  21. My E-brake cables also enter from the rear of the backing plates on my 86'.
  22. I had to turn the adjuster towards the rear of the truck to move the wheel to the right.
  23. True enough. I get mine through work.
  24. Straight as an arrow now. Once I got it moving (which didn't take too much force) it was a piece of cake. And PB Blaster is good stuff but Kroil is much much better. :chillin:
  25. Being that these trucks are older than most the adjusting sleeve on my tierod is a liitle hesitant to turn. Is it alright to use a pipe wrench on the adjuster to get it to turn or will this damage other parts? I just replaced my outer tie rod and don't want to pay $50 to just re center my wheel. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.
