  1. I gotta go back and try to find pics of when i first brought her home but this is the most recent pics from a couple months ago. In these pics it has 3" Spacers up front with a RC stabilizer, 2" rear shackles running 325/60/15 BFG's on 15x10 wheels.
  2. It's an 18 gallon tank and i'm not sure on the engine. How can i tell??
  3. Anyone have any advice where i can get the sending unit with the float? Or is this a complete unit with pump? Also, what would be good to use to clean out the inside of my tank? I just dropped the tank today so i could clean inside/outside and paint the outside of the tank and to also get to the undercarriage in that area for painting as well. I also need to address an issue with my fuel gauge not working............sometimes i have seen the gauge "float" back and forth even though i have a full tank of gas. I was told this was the sending unit from the dealer i got it from.
  4. Gotcha, i'll most likely go with the y-link/radius arm setup.
  5. My buddy had this issue on his old school Toyota FJ. Both front calipers siezed up and we had to take both of them apart, clean them out and reassemble. Didn't have a problem after that.
  6. I had no idea there were different styles? It's gonna see more pavement than dirt/rocks but wanna make sure i do it right since i'm going up that high. planning on running either 33x12.50's or 35x12.50's on 15x10 wheels
  7. So i'm considering going the long arm route since my rear is currently 7.5" and i plan to go about 8.5 in the front to even things out. I wanted to check out and find a reasonable set of long arms that won't break the bank. I found a crossmember from ironman4x4.com for about $250 but their arms seem a little steep to me. Anyone got info for me??
  8. If u weren't planning on wheeling it too hard you could go with a CAD kit for the front and still use the stock "short" arms up to about 6" i believe. Rocky Road has em for about $250.
  9. May also need to look where the bar mounts to the axle. Might need to do the 1/2" mod to bore out the factory bushing sleeve and run the larger bolt.
  10. Replaced both flashers actually and same result.
  11. I got about 5.5 out of my soa, and i already had 2" shackles so currently I'm at 7.5
  12. Do the flashers work? I had the same issues with mine, got all my lights working except the blinkers..........but my flashers work so I'm thinkin the column switch could be something to look at. I'm planning to replace it on mine soon.
  13. Just a quick update, flip has just been completed as of 30 min ago. Still need to paint the perches and planning to run new hard lines for the brakes so everything looks clean. I'm looking at close to 7-7.5" lift in the rear since i am also running 2" shackles. Pics to come in the morning.
  14. I'm definately ordering some of these on friday, thanks for the link. The only other question i have is what length of shocks should i run? I'm already running 2" shackles from Rough Country and i'm guessing the SOA will get me 3-4" more?
  15. Just wondering who all has done this and where i can get a good set of axle perches? Any info on this is greatly appreciated. :wrench:
  16. Not to say i have :hijack: but anyone know where i can either get an OEM pump or at least an aftermarket one that isn't lout as hell?!?! The new pump that the used car dealer installed right before i bought my 89 roars like crazy.
  17. Just noticed this and am interested in some 3" leafs to add to my current Rough Country shackles. Is the price for a set of leafs or just for one??
  18. So after having my stock wheels and tires rebalanced with weights on the inside so i could repaint the outside silver, i now have the dreaded wobble. I just received my 3" front spacers and 2" shackles in the mail today and was also considering a new steering stabilizer and possibly an adjustable trac bar along with a fresh alignment to see if that will cure the wobble. Anyone have any good recommendations as to whom i should order those parts from? I would like a bar that i can still use when i step up to a 6" lift. Any other advice as to things i should check to cure my wobble is appreciated, she's not my daily but it sucks that i can't get over 50 without it striking
  19. I would probably be better if i pulled both front AND rear axles from the xj so i won't have to worry about regearing mine then.
  20. Soo i just answered my own question about long arms.......lol. I'm thinking i may take the advice and start with a 3 or 4" but i want it to be level front to rear, any good places for parts and recommendations on what to go with??
  21. Is it possible to run long arms in the stock lower arm mounts?? Or do new mounts have to be made?? How many inches can i expect from just a SOA lift in the rear?
  22. So i'm looking to go with a 6" lift and am wondering if i should either go with adjustable lower arms only or if i should get upper and lowers?
  23. Yea, planning on a 6" lift running 33x12.50's on 15x10" wheels. It's a 5 speed.
  24. I wouldn't mind upgrading the gears, unsure about what would be a good ratio for mostly highway driving and some occasional wheeling. This is my first lifted truck so i'm still learning.
  25. So i found a couple of 4wd 89 xj's at the local Pull-a-Part and just wondering if the front axle will bolt right up to my 89 mj? I'm thinkin it will but just want to be sure before i plunk down $80 on it. And while i'm at it, as long as it's the 4.0 should the transmission and transfer case work too? thx fellas
