  3. Got back today from The Badlands, and meeting some of our fellow MJ members. PETE and his personal photograher Mike, Rjohntzen aka Bob from Indy, Comanchegirl and comanchero, Comanche dude and his son and an XJ'er and his daughter. I am sorry I can't remember all the names real well. We spent the whole day wheeling, with little time to talk other than the CB. We expected rain and gloom. we got a day in the lower sixties and sun most of the afternoon. We enjoyed mud, rocks, sand, creeks, and dodging atv's throughout the day. I had a great time. I will be looking forward to go again with you all. I will post my pics later this week. ...BOB
  4. I purchased my 87 Pioneer in April this year. I noticed an extremely dirty air filter - so, I changed it. Then when putting on my lift. I noticed snot looking stuff all along the underside on the drivers side. Well, I have learned it may be called "blowby". The MJ feels sluggish passing and up hills. So, I need help diagnosing the problem. I am also wondering if I may have a clogged catalytic converter. All suggestions are welcome! ...BOB
  5. here is the weather forecast for The Badlands. ...BOB http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weathe ... IN0340.htm
  6. I broke my clutch peddle. down where the clutch shaft meets the linkage. there is a round part at the end. it broke! I need to check out some junkyards quick. I have an 87 Pioneer. does anyone know if they differ from year to year. Or if the Comanche model changes that part? thanks, ...BOB

  16. I am not much of a NASCAR Fan. I like the tech part. You gotta love the "cut away car" they show. I cheer for Jeff Gordon and anybody in front of Dale Jr. nothing personal, he just hasn't got me to cheer for him yet. ...BOB
  17. those are 31x9.50 onXJ's, it takes a lot of lift to fit larger tires. I have a 3.5 lift with larger shackles and a 2" spacer up front. I probably can fit 32's without trimming. The Radial Baja Claws are great in mud and dry pavement. rain and snow - fagetaboutit! I air down to 12-15 for roack climbing. I probably should go lower 8-12. I may be seliing my Bajas and Cragar rims. I want to go larger. ...BOB

But, wanted to post em. the dark pix are of my 87 MJ Pioneer with a 3.5 XJ Rubicon lift. 31 tires. shocks, springs, upper and lower control arms, sway bar links and relocated my track bar. also, Rusty's Off road shackles/ stock leafs. these brighter pix is the front lift only. notice the difference. and, these are pix of my 95 Cherokee Country. (31" Mickey Thompson Baja Claws on Cragar wheels, Warn 9000, 8.8, Detroit, rear disc, CO2, lots of armor and lots of other goodies) at The Badlands I will try to post up better pictures soon. 24. I have installed my lift. Thanks to two "good" friends. It fought us a bit. I did not do anything to the rear. It is about an inch or so low in the rear. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow. my rear shackles are only 4.5 from bolt to bolt. should I try a longer shackle. I never knew them to add much lift. does an aal actually help raise a lift on SUA? I want to stay SUA for now. ...BOB
