  1. Today i just put my front break line exstentions on. But at full flex thers still tention on my lines. Is there any cheap longer rubbor break hoes? Ive herd stock YJ will work??? But i still played around in my yard a lil bit.. Not bad for just front wheel drive haha.. Climbing the same rock with my long bed got tippy an this truck just flexes..
  2. I desided to take my jeep for its first ride off road today. Just went out in my back fields. Took it easy still don't have rear shocks or drive shaft...
  3. dohhhh! I just droped my lond bed shaft at the drive shaft shop to have shortend.....
  4. Been slowly tinkering with my jeep some more. Finaly gettin the dash back together. I found a big section of wiring chewed thrugh from mice under the heater control. I rewired it all. Hoping i don't come across any more..... I started swapping in dash parts from my Pioneer. Swaped in the gages but kept my spedo to keep the miles right. It looks a lil diff but in mot making a show truck, but a truck to use! Swaped in the spedo cable from my other tuck. Found the 2wd cable is too short. I scored my cig lighter (so i can charge my phone haha) Hears a pic of what my dash looks like now. Notist the diff color gages.... And i know i still have 2 shifters...... :dunce: Also i mounted my Posi-loc in a diff spot. In the spot under the dash above the gas pettle it hist my knee. I mounted it here above the e break release. I still evean have the speaker there!
  5. *BUMP* Vermonster this weekend!

  7. SK mod wreck from the track at the 2011 Thompson Ice breaker
  8. Short or long bed?
  9. After swaping out my 2wd AW4 auto for my manual AX15.. I got rid of the tranny harness with the auto neutral safety wiring. Is there a way i can jump sum wires so i can start my truck with the key? For now I'm jumping the starter under the hood, but thats getting old... I havent been able to find a wireing digram. All i know is i do have the 2 plugs un hooked for my tranny on the back pass side of the engine. :dunno:
  10. Not shure my comanche will be there but ill be up there to cheer on my buddys from Raymonds Auto in CT dominate the 6cyl mud drags!
  11. This is a great event up in Bradford VT. Rock crawling corse, Tuff truck, Mud Drags, The trench and more... I went to both events last year an had a blast. The 6cly class in the mud drags is very compeitive! Mainly dominated by XJs. Its a very cheap day an mad fun! My buddys race there Jeeps every year an are the guys to beat. http://www.vermonster4x4.com/index.html Subrau in tuff truck!
  12. i really have to finnish my MJ soon! haha an stop doing this....
  13. Thanx on the rims.. haha kinda funny was doing scrap at a freinds an saw them. There for a F150. Then rememberd i had adaptors off my old 99 XJ ive had around for past 3 years. Got the rims for free, had the adaptors, an tires were free old 31s haha And for the lift the front is a rustys 4.5 spring an rustys 1.75in spacer. The rear is stock 2wd springs with 1 over load leaf off my Pioneer SOA
  14. I'm not realy shure. I started with a rustys 4.5in SOA compleat lift kit. Was a spring over in the rear. I was verry happy how it came out on my other truck other than i left lift add a leafs in the rear an it sat a little higher in the rear. I drove the truck every day for 6 months, every thing from highway to serioes trail beating. Putting over 10k miles on it. Drove and handled great! I do know stock 2wd MJs rear springs are around 1in lower than 4x4s. Also the rustys kit has a choise of spring purches for axle. I know 8.8 ford is an option. For 33s i deff go with the spring over. here's a pic of my old MJ with a spring over, weak 3in lift add a leafs an 4.5in fron lift Kinda a bad pic since its flexed out a bit. and its 31s
  15. I Have a spring over on mine with stock 2wd leafs an 1 overload leaf added on off my 4x4 parts truck. The front has 4.5in spring an 1.75 spacers and sits almoast dead level. AS for the pinion i just kinda eye balled it an have it just down from streight on with the drive shaft. Drove mint on my long bed, but havent driven it on my short bed. My rear is a factory dana 44 with weld on perches. here's a pic with 31. will easy clear 33s all day long
  16. Spent some time an got all my fuel leaks fixed. Now has all new O rings an 97 XJ injectors. Have to work on bypassing the netrual saftey swich. I don't have any of the auto tranny harness an its not reading the netural safty swich. Just got all the peddles installed. Have to finnish plumbing the clutch lines an master cly. Got the noes all bolted on an my new (old ) rims an tires installed with spacer/adaptors. Now has 5 on 5 bolt pattern. Also in my travels today i helped my buddy get his trailer race whip. A 1993 GMC burban. Thinking i may rob the TBI 350 an auto for a swap for my MJ next winter...... But for now have to get it ready to race around Thompson speedway durring this years trailer race! Gota love people... dam it sucks on gas an the batt died take it FO FREE!!
  17. Ill trade ya the shaft you need for a swb ax15/231/44 combo truck.... lol I acualy have that shaft you need but was planning on shorting it for my new truck. i just swaped that entire drive train into a short bed from my long bed...
  18. This is the exsact jeep i want!!!!!!!
  19. Figgerd i play musical hopties today... Towed both my MJs home. Figgerd its warmming up an gas is a little steep to travel 35min to go work on it. Any way funds are getting low so I just wanted them home. Now sitting at home i tryed to get it fired up for the first time. But after another used injector install i still have major fuel leaks! wtf! now all my junks are sitting at home
  20. well the 412ci is still a small block.... only 450-500hp with just a 750 holly on top no power adders. lol And for the MJ I did put the engine in from crank pully to t case output shaft. But as you can see in the pic i had the use of a towtruck with a exstended boom. I had it lifted pointing streight up in the air untill the t case cleared the front bumper of the MJ. Then rolled the truck under an slowly lowerd the engine combo in the engine compartment till i could get a jack under the t case. Then slowly lowerd the engine as a freind guided the tranny an tcase underneath. I did have the intake an exhaust manufold off when i installed it. And not really shure if it made for more room but the break master an booster is also out of the truck. It was a lot easer an went smother than exspected. I don't beleave i bumped the inside of the engine compartment much at all, but didnt realy notist since its not cleaned up at all haha
  21. haha thats my mullet wagon! That was my fall an early winter project... kinda lost intrest untill it just started getting warmer... Now getting it ready for the 100ft drags at my local Circle track. Only has a small 412ci small block an a bulit th400
  22. Finaly got my engine tranny an t case back installed. Gota love tow trucks! Did it in all 1 shot! As of now its all bolted in, my brand new long tube header installed. I still have to get a new set of injectors an finnish the cooling system to get it running. Only drive shafts, an install break an clutch master an shuld be driving! Latly been a little side tracted.... Had a cupple beers an took my 2500HD wheeling (after just having new engine installed...) And I finaly towed home my car to start wrenching on that....
  23. Me an my freind whos garage its at, are both layed off. Been going up every day to work on it an still collect a pay check hahaha. I love workin for a major paving company in New England. Get at least 1 month paid vaca every late winter. haha  But will be back to 8 days a week this summer haha
