  1. mj looks even better in person brian
  2. it is def wide and low i love the stability of it the axles are full width srw chevy axles, d60 and 14b wheels are recentered h1 wheels with 3.5" of backspacing outside of tire to outside of tire is ~85" and with the tires at 7-8 psi the outside of the foot print is 88" and just for a little reference, my tires are only 1" under the fender line
  3. redoing the exhaust tonight got a moroso sprial flow muffler, hoping to quite it down
  4. haha the one scales around me are at the scrap yard and the dump
  5. no i havent had a chance to scale it ive been meaning to, but they always seem to be closed when i have time i used 3x3x3/16ths angle for stiffeners and 5/16ths for a skid
  6. i bought the wheels already recentered the centers are from USA6x6, because i had to buy one for my spare i set up a few weeks ago i also have the ultra light beadlock inserts from them and if you look close i have round bar rings welded to the lip
  7. I'm running my rears in the stock pockets wheeled fine for 8 months, and was still fine i have added stiffeners that run from spring mount to spring mount, and re-enforce the mount some, but i see no problems in running like i was before
  8. and some recent wheeling pics smokem if you got em no I'm not really that fat this is my gettin it face best pic to date of the MJ imo i have lots more pics, just not many uploaded
  9. havent been around lately i have been working on and wheeling the mj ill post some pics of stuff i have done, if you have any questions or want specifics just ask beadlocks grooved tires rock lights along the way i also rebuilt the d300, replaced the tranny, and fixed other broken stuff door bars, will be caging the interior but i havent had time flat belly and unibody stiffeners that run from spring hanger to spring hanger made this dash months ago, still looking for a matching tach just have to redo my exhaust on Wednesday night when the parts come in, and I'm ready for Field Trip this week (thursday - sunday)
  10. every powertrax dealer should be able to get you one and there are 3 on ebay right now
  11. If I bend that tie-rod, I'm making a new one. Unless I can just put this one back in the press again... That hot stamped crap that they claim is steel isn't exactly great. And the whole thing is ugly as hell. Same goes for the drag link. But I didn't feel like dumping the money on a bunch of 3/4" rod ends and tubing that I will have to special order if this works. thats cool you could also think about 1-ton chevy TRE's ive been running the set I'm using now for about 2 years, 8 months of that was DD'ing also
  12. other then being ugly IMO i think it will work although 2 things to think about, stock tierods are not very stong, and if you bend it you will need to make another bracket
  13. your a member of jonfund? cool I'm from ftr
  14. thanks man
  15. can you make this maroon body but with black cage? please and thank you
  16. on the back, like up against the firewall? or on on the drivers side but towards the firewall? cause i looked around quick the other night and didnt see anything
  17. sounds like a plan BTW i am running a 119" wheelbase only once so far have i wished it was shorter. i love walking ledges when all my friends try so hard in their short wheelbases
  18. ok my gauges are done for only one that work right is the voltmeter so i got some gauges to hook up for now till i can build a custom dash panel to house all of them where is the sender for the temp gauge so i can hook up my aftermarket one?
  19. brett i used 2x4 when doing mine because that is what i had around my rockers were destroyed, i hate NE, but the 2x4 sits nice and flush to the pinch seam on the bottom and sticks out 1/4" from the door on the top andrew you def need to ditch the 8.8, i don't see it lasting with 38s unless you just go to the mall, which i assume isnt true also, if you want to shorten up your wheelbase i would try to do it from the rear and not the front, moving the front back with make your approach angle worse and give less clearence to the firewall for your tires and lastly, i would suggest you get hydro assit, my stock box with no assist and 38s was horrid and i only drove it around on the street before realizing it wasnt going to work on the trail def a sweet rig tho
  20. the rim size the manufacturers specifies it based on their testing basically take the weight of thier test vehical, specific pressure, and width of the wheel to get the tire to have even contact all the way across
  21. what does interco say about the 38.5x15.5 's? i mounted them on 7" wide wheels and they kicked @$$ down to 8 psi
  22. magnet mount to the hood
