Are you still located in the area? I have an 88 that currently being prepped to be a DD but it won't be complete until next year. I live in Mount Airy but work in the Winston area.

Wow! That is a lot of rust. What are your plans? Complete rebuild or just make it last longer?

Finally mounted the Rubicon dana 44 front axle and moved the truck. I'll be working on my brakes next weekend. Several parts started showing up as well. Hopefully I'll have more time over winter to install everything. The negative: It rained this weekend. I knew there was a leak around the door seals, but it appears that the rear window seal has cracked. I'm hoping there isn't a lot of rust at the roof, but I can see heavy corrosion where the headliner Velcro's at the rear window.

Had several parts show up today. I have an edelbrock head and 97+ doors that I'll be installing on the truck over winter. I'm hoping to have this truck on the road and my DD by Springish. Also, my brother works at a local shop, and I'll have them pull the original motor to be replaced with the stroker motor over winter. Hopefully that will save time.

A 3.4 with S/C, I'm sure you will be happy with the added power.

It's been a while. Me and a group of friends went on the trip our west and had a great time. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take the Comanche, but it was still fun. I've bought and LJ Rubicon and stole parts from the Comanche to complete my build. I still have the stroker motor, and I've pulled the LJ Rubicon front axle to install in the Comanche (most recent pic attached). Ultimately, the Comanche will be a daily driver for work, and I'll be able to enjoy it a lot more. I'm hoping to complete this version by Christmas and will be driving 100 miles plus per day. It's always been my favorite rig and will be of good use.
