I am just throwing this out there but. I wanted to see if anyone would want to trade a 4x4 mj for my 2wd mj. My 86 is in great shape so i wouldnt mind trading for a 4x4 that needs work such as floors and rust issues. I will post some pics if anyone is interested. Its an 86 4speed has new belts new tune up new battery fresh inspection and emissions good till 12 of 2011. has cap aand very minimal surface rust. bed is in great shape since its had the cap since bought new

ok the 3:55 are dogs so upgrading the rear would be good too. I am not looking to do a 4x4 swap but rather just give the truck a little pep and a mild lift for bigger tires and some wrangler rims. providing i find a decent price on rims

I have the 4 speed in the 86 now. I really want to put a 5 speed in. I am pulling the 4 speed to change clutch so I might as well swap to a 5 speed. whats a decent tranny for these?

what is the easiest and cheapest way to add a little room for bigger wheels under a 2wd?

It def sounds like something up front but it only makes the noise while in gear if i let it in neutral and drift its fine soon as i am in gear makes rubbing noise....... :fs1: money pit

sounds coming from the front no i haent drained it yet it does it the whole time its moving but there is no tranny slipage like an auto ould do when it starts to go I'm thinking maybe the bang i heard was the tranny lol

ok so i just took the truck for a little ride it does it in reverse but not if i drift backwards in neutral. sounds like its only doin it in gear. I am afraid i may need a tranny which is ok since now i can upgrade to a 5 speed.

ok so when the trucks in neutral i spin the back wheels and the driveshaft either barely turns or doesnt at all

ok so here's an update i took wheels off front calipers everything and found nothing so i went to the back......... i raised it up took it outta gear, and I'm not sure if this is normal but when i spin the wheels the drive shaft doesnt move until i spin the wheel a little faster and it stops moving before the wheel stops and both sides spin at different speeds....... could my rear end be blown???

2 days ago i was backing up my driveway i stopped at the bottom to answer a call talked 30 seconds then let the clutch out and began to go backwards when I heard a clunk. now when i move the truck it sounds like a rubbing coming from the front passenger wheel i took the wheels off and nothing rubbing. the tranny goes in all gears fine so I am not sure its a tranny problem. any ideas?

this is a thrush aluminized muffler. The glasspacks were 19 so i figured what the hell ill just get a muffler

think ill put a thrush on the local parts store has them on sale for 24 bucks

my trucks not here with me an i am going to order a muffler online does anyone know the inlet and outlet size and offset?

so i hit a speed bump and bam heard a thud and it got really loud. The muffler rotted off. whats a good kind to get?

So i failed the inspection due to cracked brake lines. and I failed emissions barely. He told me to do a tune up now my questions are what kind of plugs should i get? wires and cap and rotor? cheapy or expensive ones. also has anyone changed the brake lines up front before if so wheres a good place to buy the parts.

here's a few pics of the MJ just some surface rust no holes and the under side is near mint. I will be starting a front clip swap and repaint this winter sometime and of course some new wheels

the one i have has a metal blade later models for safety had string like a weed wacker but ultimately i thik safety was a big factor on them. They are still sold in europe though and husqvarna owns the name i think. the euro ones look pretty cool

So my old man neighbor was doin some cleaning and gave me a Flymo he bought new in the 70's also have enough parts to put another one together if i get a small engine. anyway its a 2 stroke and after cleaning the fuel out it starts right up and hovers nice i even cut the grass with it. On a different note he also gave me a 1959 cooper Klipper lawm mower ill try to get some pics up soon of them

i can't sleep this past week and once I do fall asleep I am awakened by a damn owl that camps out by my house. keeps the mice population down but he never shuts up.
