Not sure what part of South Carolina you're in but there's an all Jeep salvage in Statesboro GA that I got to all the time. Lots of consoles there.

No dents no rust and need it shipped to Darien Ga. Prefer white but I'll take whatever.

My XJ buckets have a broken seat pan so I lean toward the door when I'm driving. This is the style I'm looking for. With or without material and color is not important. Just need the good foam and the intact pan.

How do you remove 35 years worth of mildew?

Door Panel Restoration Before/After Photos
Hust01 replied to Hust01's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
That was the way I was leaning. Reason I hid them was because previous owner butchered the panels and the speakers aren't even in both doors. One sets up about an inch higher and to he left. -
No VIN. If I had only known then what I know now. Wonder if dealerships keep records from that far back. I know I purchased it in 1990 at Chris Nickels in Muskogee Ok

Still have not decided if I like the hidden speaker look or if I should cut the carpet and mount the grilles. Any opinions? -

Purchased the carpet at Oreillys and attached it with 3M spray adhesive. About 25 bucks in the project. -
I know this is a long shot. It's an 88 4.0 auto 2wd Sport Truck. It was silver but was painted twilight blue. under the hood was still silver. lower part of the truck was blue with rock chip paint. Had XJ buckets and a center console. Also had sliding back glass. It was traded at a dealership in Tulsa Ok somewhere around 95-96. Probably long dead but thought I would post in the off chance someone here might know something.

I've seen them on eBay for as high as 25k. Probably didn't sell though

Previous owner had cut into panel and installed components then covered them with screen door material. At some point 3 way speakers were installed and the component tweeter was left in the hole. After seeing some pictures of OEM panels I decided the carpet trick was the option. I only wanted to use carped in the panel lines but the old screen was attached with staples so I needed to cover staple holes. Ends at the top look kinda out of place but considering what I had to work with I think the came out pretty good. Speakers mounted behind carpet.

Missing door tags seem to be a common problem in the Comanche club. My stickers are shot too.
