  1. None around me even have any old Cherokees, never mind one with a 242 unfortunately
  2. Anybody else got anything?
  3. Hey I was just thinking and I’m wondering if it would be possible to put a rear sway bar out of a XJ onto a MJ? I know some fabrication would be needed to mount it to the body but other than that everything should line up right?
  4. I’ve sent you both messages, thanks
  5. Hey I’m looking for a internal slip yoke 242 output shaft. Let me know what you have, Thanks P.S. should look like this if it’s internal slip yoke
  6. Ah ok I guess I’m lucky then cause mine are nice and tight. And I bought a set of doors and these mirrors were on them so I’d guess the brackets are in there.
  7. Hey everyone, I recently picked up a set of the factory tow mirrors for my MJ. I’ve been looking into making them heated to help with being able to see behind me on my way to work in the morning. I am just wondering if anyone has ever removed the glass from the mirror housing and without breaking anything? Is the glass glued in or is it held in some other way, perhaps with the rubber seal around the edge? Any help would be appreciated. Also I know I could get 97+ mirrors that are heated but I like the look of the tow mirrors, just want them to defrost. I’ve added a picture of the mirrors I have.
  8. Ah ok I’ll try that. What about paint for the plastic? Anybody got any recommendations?
  9. Hey everyone I’m looking for a good source to get the light blue fabric for my trucks interior. I went to all my local fabric stores but everything is too bright of blue. Any sources would be appreciated. Oh also does anyone know a good spray paint that matches the plastics? Here’s some photos I found online of my interior colour
  10. Wow that’s a awesome find. Interesting it still has the MJ taillights molded into it.
  11. Ok yeah I found that sensor. Is there any way to test it before I put it back in? Also I crawled up under the dash and the non AC box doesn’t even have a door on the bottom so I guess I’ll be cleaning this one up.
  12. Hey I’m in the process of cleaning up my new to me heater box with ac. The chunk of the box in front of the blower motor and that has the resistor in it is pretty rusted out so I’m wondering if when I take the non AC box out of my truck this summer if I can just swap this piece over or if it’s completely different. Also on a unrelated note does anyone know where you can get the temp sensor that goes into the evaporator? I forgot to pull it out first and mangled it getting the evap out and I'm afraid I might have punctured it.
  13. Hey I've been looking into adding power windows/locks to my truck and I can find lots of information about the windows but not much on the locks. I'm wondering if the only part for power locks you need is the actuator or if there are some linkages or a different door latch or something? Thanks, Andre
  14. No I do not. Is there an online copy somewhere?
  15. Hey everyone, I was just wondering if there is a list of all the possible factory options for our trucks. Thanks
  16. Oh ok awesome, unfortunately someone hacked the end of the upper cable when they took the dash out I’d imagine
  17. Hey everyone, I’ve been looking for replacement part numbers for both the upper and lower speedometer cables for a 87 4.0 5 speed 4wd with cruise control. All the previous posts I can find nobody seems to have cruise. I can’t find the upper cable online and rock auto has listings for the lower ones but the 96” ones don’t look like they’d screw onto the speed sensor and the 38” one seems a bit short of 96” total seeing as the upper cable is only like a foot long. Thanks for the help, Andre
  18. I just measured the hole in my bottle for the sensor and it’s 1” 5/16 or about 34MM
  19. Oh that’s what that was. I was trying to figure out what the little switch was for. I didn’t know these jeeps had air shocks
  20. Oh yeah the screws just stuck out of the pillar. They don’t look like mine with the places for the covers. I didn’t grab any of the sentry stuff because I wasn’t sure what it was until I’d left and was looking it up.
  21. Ok so I’m back from the junkyard and I ended up just grabbing the column and cruise control stuff. The a pillar trims did have screws going through them so I don’t think they are the rare ones. One thing I did find out about this Cherokee is that it had the mysterious Sentinel System. Unfortunately someone had taken the display but the computer box and all the sensors seemed to be there still. P.S. the last photo is just to show what the blue box under the dash looked like.
  22. Do you have a picture of what you used to pop the pins out? I have a small flat head but I don’t think it’s thin enough to get in there
  23. Ok so all we need is the wire coming from the sensor now. I found this diagram of the C100 connector on here and it looks like the wire from the connector comes through H6. So left most column and 3 pins up on the female side. Does anyone know how hard it is to pull pins from the C100 connector? As I might try to pull one out at the junkyard so that I can just clip it into mine.
  24. Ok I’ll see about getting the A pillar trims. I didn’t really notice anything special, I was just looking for features my truck didn’t come with.
  25. Ok, will do. One last thing I’m wondering is if I need to bring any special/ specific tools other than a socket set. I know when I went to get the 4wd stuff I found out the transmission has two inverted torx bolts for whatever reason but luckily one of the sockets was able to grab it enough to get them out.
