  1. It’s an 87. What’s the difference between the honey and other tan. I thought there was only 1 tan. That would be awesome. That’s not a far drive for me. You don’t happen to have a shift indicator bezel do you. Lol
  2. I live around Peoria. I guess the saddle tan. It’s the darker color tan and not the honey.
  3. Hi guys I am beginning my search for a clean in good condition, tan 3 spoke steering wheel and column. I currently have the black steering wheel and am looking to swap if at all possible. I live in Illinois so shopping might be kind of expensive. Would be happy to meet up within a reasonable distance. Thanks.
  4. Thanks for all the input guys I appreciate the help!
  5. Another question Eagle, are there any better flares to use or are they all the same. That’s where it seemed the fluid was coming from. Could I have caused those flares leaking somehow?
  6. I believe you are right Eagle. I will check when I get it back. I didn’t figure the brakes on these little trucks would be so complicated.
  7. Thanks guys. I am hoping that’s the case. This is the one aspect of the Comanche that I just don’t understand and it’s killing me. It’s super frustrating because it runs great. Lol
  8. Well I think that’s how it is. It’s in the shop so I can’t look. There are 4 lines coming out of that portioning valve. I assumed one went to each wheel.
  9. Yes that is correct. It seems a line goes to the silver box in the one picture then splits off to the drivers side and passenger side rear. You can kind of see it in the one picture.
  10. Seems like it goes down a good 2” but I’m not quite sure.
  11. I appreciate it, I was just curious. Is this an issue of guys just not knowing what they are doing or is this somewhat common? It also seemend strange to me that my pedal was a bit spongy after completion of new brakes but I am used to my 14 Silverado.
  12. Thanks guy quick follow up question, once I got the truck back when the brakes got completed I pushed down the emergency brake. That’s why my das light was on. Well being novice I couldn’t figure out why it stayed on. I drove it around for a couple weeks with the light on because it didn’t feel any different. I finally took off the the rear tire and discovered the brake was stuck and had been wearing. Still looks like I have life in the shoes. I released it and put everything back together and somewhat re adjusted the drums. My question is could that have caused the fittings to leak? Would it have created a lot of back pressure by dragging the rear drums. Just curious to see if this was my screw up, which it kinda was.
  13. It is leaking out of the fittings it would seem. One on the bottom for sure. Does this correct though?
  14. Here are a few pictures of what I have. They are not the best but hopefully you can tell what I have.
  15. Thanks guys, I will take a few pictures and show you what I have. It will be towed to the shop today. The MC still has fluid in it. About half full but it is leaking at the valve.
  16. Absolutely. I will tomorrow before it gets towed. Lol. I believe it’s just a TJ portioning valve. It is definitely frustrating. It makes me want to give up.
  17. I think my last portion valve just failed. Being it was brand new, I’m not sure why that would be. I’m just looking for a good valve that will work with what I have. I don’t typically haul anything.
  18. My stock components are all gone. Someone before me eliminated the rear thing. So now I have all new lines run individually to each caliper and drum. Just need to find a reliable portion valve. The one I have is brand new and now leaking. Idk man.
  19. Hi guys, so I can’t seem to get this brake thing under control. The original system is bi passed with all new lines going to both back axles and front axles. The portioning valve I’m guessing is a TJ one I think. Heck idk. Lol. Got in the truck and pedal went to the floor. Popped the hood and fluid is coming from around one of the fittings I think. My question is does anyone have a good recommendation for an aftermarket portioning valve. I’m really at my wits end with these damn brakes. Thanks guys.
  20. Just wondering if there is a way to make the engine turn over faster. Sorry about the terminology, I’m just not that car savvy. At least yet.
  21. That’s definitely mine. About 3-5 revs then he kicks over and purrs like a kitten. Silly question but is there a way to speed up the crank over?
  22. Thanks Eagle. I’m just used to my trucks firing right up.
  23. So I am brand new to the Comanche world. When I go to start it, cold or hot, it takes about 3-5 revs before it kicks over. Can someone tell me if that is normal for these Comanches. All my other vehicles crank right over. They also are not 34 years old. Thanks guys
  24. 87 with the 4.0 4wd
  25. Sweet. I will pick one up this week. Thanks as usual!
